Chemical Engineer/Biochemistry Intern

Our technical lab is open for internships in projects related to bacterial cellulose formulation!

Cellugy is a Danish Biotech Company dedicated to unleashing cellulose’s potential as a renewable alternative to fossil-derived materials. Founded in 2018, we are a small team, who are excited about the sustainable impact that cellulose can have as we transition our society to a circular future.

We need you to help us to leave a positive impact. As a student intern, you will work on projects in bacterial cellulose formulation to replace plastic-based ingredients in personal care/cosmetic products or to make biodegradable coatings for textiles. We are looking for a Bachelor or Master student in the fields of Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or similar. The position is an internship for the duration of 3-6 months starting as soon as possible. You can combine this internship with your Bachelor or Master thesis. Cellugy’s offices and labs are based in Søborg.

Requirements / Experience

  • Currently a Bachelor or Master student in the field of Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry or similar.  
  • Being able to work independently but also collaboratively with other employees in a dynamic startup environment. 

We value the following qualifications:

  • Familiar in sterile working conditions for keeping bacterial cultures.
  • Structured and organized in keeping records.
